Korea: about the last place the United States had on its list of problems in 1950. World War II was over (1945), Japan and most of the Pacific seemed to be in line with U.S. efforts; however, North Korean leaders were not. On 25 June 1950, 50,000 plus North Korean soldiers marched South almost all the way to Pusan.

This course will review U.S. and U.N. efforts to protect its agreement to protect South Korea. From the 38th Parallel to Pusan, to Inchon, to Yalu, back to 38th Parallel to a cease-fire, and the current state of South Korea.
